E-commerce / multi-warehouse SaaS
Inventory & Order Management API
Lanexas project · client under NDA
An inventory and order platform for businesses selling across multiple channels and warehouses. The core problem was keeping stock, fulfilment, and order state coherent across systems that do not update at the same time.
Engagement facts
- Role
- CTO / Backend Lead
- Team
- 6-person cross-functional team
- Duration
- Approximately 8 months
Lanexas contribution
Domain architecture, stock and reservation modelling, integration design, technical leadership, code review, and release planning.
Outcome
Orders and inventory were consolidated in one system. Asynchronous integrations no longer blocked core operations, and repeated event delivery did not create duplicate orders.
AI involvement
Demand forecasting extended the inventory platform from reporting current stock to predicting demand, stockout risk, and practical replenishment quantities.
Delivered AI capabilities
- 01Demand forecasts by product, warehouse, and region using sales history, weekday, seasonality, promotions, holidays, and trends
- 02Projected demand over 7-, 14-, and 30-day horizons together with estimated stockout probability
- 03Smart replenishment recommendations combining forecast demand, current stock, and safety-stock targets, exposed through a forecast API
Production path
Order events → Kafka analytics pipeline → Python demand model → forecast store → Go inventory service and API
What was delivered
- 01Warehouse and sales-channel synchronization
- 02Stock reservations, order imports, and fulfilment states
- 03Idempotent event handling, role-based access, and audit history
